Biography

Chen Yayu (born October 4, 1996) is a Chinese singer and actress from Hubei Province. She performed with the idol group BEJ48. She became a first-generation BEJ48 member on July 16, 2016, and joined Team J that October. She released the single 荣耀勋章 (Rongyao Xunzhang) in April 2017. In September 2019 she was suspended from performances and promotional activity for six months following repeated breaches of the SNH48 Group member conduct rules, and was moved to hiatus status on June 13, 2020. Her acting credits include the romantic drama 我才不要谈姐弟恋 (Wo Cai Bu Yao Tan Jiedilian, 2023), Sunshine in Winter (若有寒冬遇暖阳, 2023), and the web series 叶罗丽梦奇境 (Yeluoli Meng Qijing, 2024).
