Overview

Rosie "Aunty" Lee, owner of Singapore's best-loved Peranakan restaurant, is an amateur sleuth who finds herself solving crime cases in her neighbourhood in pursuit of the truth. These cases range from homicide - such as when Aunty Lee is accused of poisoning a wealthy socialite and her son with her ayam buah keluak - to seemingly petty crimes, like undergarment theft in the neighbourhood. Aunty Lee is assisted by her trusty Filipino helper, Nina, her no-nonsense restaurant manager, Cherill, and their Gen Z waitress, Yanna. Together, they form an alliance that frustrates and yet impresses local law enforcement officers Insp Salim and his assistant, SSgt Naren, who are also racing to get to the bottom of these cases.
